Volunteers of the Year

Two Sheffield youths, Atif Aslam and Zubair Khaliq, have been jointly nominated by Activity Sheffield as the Young Citizens of the Year for their volunteer work with the Burngreave Tigers, a local sports club in affiliation with Sheffield City Council.

Atif and Zubair have been volunteering at the Burngreave Tigers, based at Firvale School, on Saturday mornings for over two years, and were nominated by Activity Sheffield’s Imran Ali because of their hard work and dedication. The award is part of this year’s Star’s Superkids Awards that nominates young people in recognition of their talents, educational progress, excellence in music and sport, bravery and citizenship.
