Dance, Drama & Music Summer Event
Dance, Drama & Music Summer Event

Ellesmere Youth Project (EYP) will be running a 3 day event during the summer holidays for local young people to engage in dance/drama/arts activities with the broad theme of ‘conflict’.

The purpose of the event is to bring young people from across the community together to showcase their talents. The event will also be an opportunity to feed back to local young people on a consultation currently being carried out by EYP’s Conflict Resolution Worker.

The event is aimed at 12-16 year olds and will take place 9th – 11th August at Verdon Street Recreation Centre, from 1pm until 5.30pm. There will be dance, drama, music production and urban art workshops available. The cost for young people to take part will be £3 per day, this includes refreshments and access to up to four hours of quality tuition. Young people are encouraged to attend all three days of workshops in order to work towards a performance for family and friends.

The event is a joint initiative between Ellesmere Youth Project, Sheffield Futures and Activity Sheffield. Local photographer, Anwar Suliman, will also be present with one of his young assistants to photograph the event.

Anyone interest in taking part needs to contact Danielle on 0114 2133 120 or at danielle@eyproject.org.uk
