Cooking classes at PACA

Story by Saima Ahmed

Photo provided by PACA

PACA held a pair of eight week cooking classes, one for women and one for men, run by Dawn Young. The groups really enjoyed the sessions which included learning techniques to cook healthy, interesting and easy recipes from around the world and doing 30 minutes of exercise.

Some of the things they learnt to cook were pizza, chicken fajitas, Thai Curry and spicy pasta. They were separate groups. It was first for all the men that attended. A lot of them live by themselves, so they really enjoyed cooking and also learning how to cook different world foods. They also enjoyed the social aspect of meeting and chatting.
