Volunteers

Do you live around the Burngreave area and are interested in helping people improve their health and wellbeing? If so, are you interested in volunteering for the ‘Feeling Good on Verdon Street’ project?

We are looking for people who are committed to supporting people around their health and wellbeing, enthusiastic and willing to share and learn new skills, are good team players and able to work on their own. Volunteers must be able to offer at least 1 hour per week for a minimum of 20 weeks.

Tasks will include:

  • Supporting Healthy Cooking Sessions,

  • Helping facilitate workshops

  • Supporting the co-ordination of a weekly drop in

  • Helping plan activities

  • Signposting service users.

In return we can offer you the chance to:

  • Meet new people

  • Be part of a team

  • Learn new skills

  • Access training courses you are interested in
