Burngreave’s hugely successful football club, Earl Marshall Juniors, enjoyed the pre-season with a fundraiser at their training ground on Petre Street.

Parents and coaches organised stalls, a bouncy castle, food, rides and music. There were traditional sack and egg-andspoon races – and a lot of football. Under 9s manager, Garfield Walters, said,

“It was great to have all the teams together, Under-9s, 11s, 12s and 13s. The boys really enjoyed playing football with each other, with older ones helping the younger ones and working together.”

The club are looking forward to the new season. The under-11s and under-9s are still looking for unregistered players. The teams train on Wednesdays and Thursdays 6-7pm, at Petre Street and, during the winter, at Hinde House School. Contact:

Garfield on 07760 240 366 for under 9s

Shane on 07818 551 110 for under 11s

Look out for Earl Marshall Juniors FC football camps in future school holidays
