Tribute to Diane Parton

Diane Parton
Diane Parton

We were very sad lately to hear of the passing away of Diane Parton (known as Diane Johnson) a friend and colleague who served the community at the Earl Marshall youth club.

Diane was a great youth club team leader, she had a fantastic rapport with the young people and a very bubbly personality. She was a great role model, always ready to listen and find solutions for young people.

We had a small get-together on 28th March at Earl Marshall Youth club, attended by a few friends and colleagues and, from Diane’s family, Marcus Parton and Nicola Ramsey. It was a great get-together and opportunity to share memories and say thanks, especially so at the Youth club, where Diane used to work.

To her colleagues she was an exceptional boss, always approachable and fair, an intelligent individual and a supportive team leader. We, the community, appreciated all the work she did for the young people and the safe environment she provided for young mums and their children to develop their lives for the better. Thank you, you will be missed.
