July bus changes

More buses for Firshill

The half-hourly No. 7 will cease and will be replaced in Burngreave by the No.73 (City Centre to Ecclesfield). First will run a Monday to Saturday service every 10 minutes up to 6pm. TM Travel will then run an hourly service starting at 7.30pm. The No. 83 will continue every 10 minutes up to 6pm Monday to Saturday and a new half-hourly Sunday service will be introduced.

Changes for Cookswood

Road and Shirecliffe The No. 33 and 34 will cease and a new No. 72 service will go from Burngreave Road up Cookswood Road and Shirecliffe Road to end at Parkwood School on Penrith Road. It will be hourly with no Sunday service.

Little bus for Verdon Street and Carwood Road

The M20 “Hail & Ride” route will now include Verdon Street but still only 3 buses a day on weekdays. The No. 5 now takes in Carwood Road and Grimesthorpe on the way through Margate Drive to Firth Park.

Other services

The No. 4 will no longer run through Pitsmoor. The No.76 will no longer go past Netto at Lane Top.
