Burngreave Mentoring Project

Burngreave Mentoring Project

Would you like to become a Community Mentor?

“There are times when young people face issues that are difficult for a family member or friend to address. It often helps for a third person to assist who can offer independent support and expertise.”

Following the success of our first year working with Volunteer Mentors, we are looking to recruit again.

If you would like to support children and young people who live or go to school in Burngreave and have a couple of hours spare per week, we would like to hear from you.

Mentors receive Open College Network (OCN) accredited training, support from a multi-agency staff team, and expenses reimbursed.

Mentors must be over the age of 18, be able to complete a 2 day Mentoring Training Course, willing to supply 2 references and complete a CRB check to work with children.

Next course is Saturday 14th and 21st August.

If you would like further information please contact Julia Baker at Burngreave/Shiregreen MAST on 233 1189.

The Mentoring Project is supported by Sheffield City Council, Sheffield Futures and Sheffield Youth Offending Service
