PATWAR

Local residents have been meeting to discuss what people in Burngreave can do in response to the tragic events in London.

Richard Belbin, a member of Pitsmoor Against the War [PATWAR] said:

“We reject the view that terrorism is rooted in Muslim fanaticism and are concerned that there has been a marked increase in attacks upon Muslims nationally: neither Muslims nor Islam are the problem. This all has far more to do with the war in Iraq and the situation in the Middle East”.

PATWAR will be holding a fundraising and information evening with food at The Kashmir on 20th September 2005 at 7pm, in the run up to a national antiwar demonstration. The demo will be in London, on 24th September 2005– there will be a PATWAR coach from Burngreave.
