Cricket Winners

The Sheffield Federation for School Sports’ Raynor Trophy was won by Firs Hill Community School on 21st July 2005, playing against Parson Cross Primary. A resounding win of 88 runs to 15.

Twenty schools from across the city took part in the league. Firs Hill reached the finals by beating Abbeydale Primary in the semi-finals.

Coaches Mrs Hussain and Mr Rasool said, “It was an outstanding performance by all of the team.” The whole team get voted ‘men of the tournament’, and Dhanyal Safier (Y4) and Hamzah Younis (Y5) received the accolade of ‘men of the match’ for the finals.
