SAGE centre stage Story:Diana Tottle

SAGE took centre stage in The Winter Gardens when they were asked to launch World Mental Health Week.

The focal point was a large globe woven from willow by SAGE members from which the public hung comments about how nature improved their well-being. A production line was pressing apples harvested from Burngreave trees with help from charity, Abundance.

A third charity, Artlings, supported the event by creating a mandala for relaxation. The funds the Council paid SAGE to run this event have been channelled back into horticultural therapy and arts activities in Burngreave.
