Eden by candlelight

Story & photos:Nikky Sentance

On 12th December Eden Fir Vale, a Christian youth and community team, ran a lantern making workshop in Wensley Community Centre, followed by a lantern-lit parade around the area.

32 talented young people created some fantastic lanterns, before heading out into the streets on a journey to discover the Christmas story by candlelight.

Eden Fir Vale, part of the International Eden Network, now has a team of 11 volunteers, all committed to living in and investing in Page Hall and Wensley. As well as organising community events like this one, they have an afterschool kids group, football sessions, a group for teenage girls, and they regularly take assemblies in the local primary schools.
