An amazing play called Oliver

Story: Tianna Brown and Tayyibah Rafique

On the 22nd of January 2014, Y5 and Y6 girls from Byron Wood Primary school went to the Crucible Theatre to see an amazing play called Oliver. We all had a fabulous time, and we all dressed up and looked beautiful. Our journey wasn’t long, for we were only going to town. On the coach some people listened to music on their phones. Our teacher told us to switch our phones off once we arrived at the theatre, so we didn’t disturb the actors.

As soon as we sat down, we knew it was going to be a great show because the set looked amazing. All the cast were outstanding even the small children. The singing and dancing was perfect and energetic.

We love Sheffield with its fabulous theatres! We were inspired by the whole show and hope that one day we will have the chance to perform on the Crucible stage. We are going to audition for Byron Wood’s got talent- that’s a start!
