Spring Clean at Firshill

Firshill is getting ready for a Big Spring Clean. On 12th April Firshill Tenants and Residents Association (TARA) will get help from Streetforce, Sheaf Training, Sheffield Homes, the Safer Neighbourhood Team, Fire Service and St Catherine’s School to get the estate up to scratch.

Horticulture trainees from Sheaf Training have been working with the Community Foresters to plant cherry blossom trees ready for the start of spring. Maureen Scott from the TARA said:

“It’s brilliant what they’ve been doing on the estate. Everyone is commenting on how much cleaner and safer the area feels.”

The Clean Up day will continue the planting and litter picking.

If you would like to be involved, contact Firshill TARA on 256 0337 or turn up at the Sheffield United Academy car park from 9am – 2.30pm.
