The Burngreave Enterprise Event and Business Awards returns next month in what promises to be the year’s biggest business event in Burngreave.

Award winner cleans up

Lee Furness
Lee Furness

Serial entrepreneur and Burngreave resident Lee Furness knows the value of winning awards; and the Burngreave Business Awards in particular. Lee is Director of Time for You, a corporate and domestic cleaning company that employs around 80 people from the Burngreave and Pitsmoor area.

Lee entered the first Burngreave Business Awards in 2005. He was surprised to be short listed and delighted when he was named winner of the HSBC Start Up Award. Wining that award inspired him to enter a national award with his franchise company – he won that one too!

In 2006 Lee repeated his feat by winning the Marketing Excellence Award, which he says changed his business.

“I have the Awards on all my promotional material, even in the Yellow Pages. The majority of my new customers tell me that knowing I am an award winner made them choose me instead of my competitors.”

Lee intends to enter for this year’s Awards and take full advantage of the help and advice on offer at this year’s Enterprise Event on the 14th March.
