Become a Home-Start volunteer

Home-Start are looking for volunteers to offer regular support, friendship and practical help to young families under stress in their own homes, helping to prevent family stress and breakdown.

By becoming a Home-Start volunteer you will benefit from:

  • An Open College Network accredited training course.

  • The opportunity to develop your personal skills.

  • The opportunity to pass on skills and experience to those who need it.

  • Free childcare whilst training.

  • Expenses paid for on-going training and support

When surveyed the main reason that our volunteers gave for leaving Home-Start was to access new or increased employment.
