Celebrate the anniversary of the Tour de France’s Grand Depart with a weekend of free cycling events

Allez Wincobank !

For the Côte de Wincobank Hill climb!!

Date: Saturday 4th July 2015 Time: 10am – 3.30pm

Location: Wincobank Hill, Jenkin Road, Sheffield

· 10am – 11am Anyone, any age can try half the hill at any pace

· 11 am – 12 noon Anyone, any age can try the full hill climb

FREE to enter. Register on the day.

A Certificate for all riders reaching the top and asouvenir T-shirt for the first 100 riders reaching the top in each session.

A prize for the most imaginative dressed bike and rider in each session

· 1pm – 3.30pm Competitive time trial

Riders must hold a British Cycling licence which can be purchased on the day.

· 10am – 3.30pm Wincobank Fête on the Common, S9 1AE

Join the local community for refreshments, games and activities. FREE bike health checks by Dr Bike. Test your bike skills on the flat. Decorate your bike, trike, scooter or buggy for the Whizzy Wheels Parade.

Travel Options :

Jenkin Road will be closed to traffic from 9.30am – 3.30pm. Access for residents only from 12 – 12.30pm. There is very limited parking in the area.

To reach Wincobank Common travel by

· train, bus or Supertram to Meadowhall Interchange then stroll up the historic Roman Ridge.

· buses X78 or 38 to Jenkin Rd / Meadowhall Rd and walk 15 minutes up Jenkin Rd.

· buses 76 or 35 bus to Wincobank Ave/Newman Rd and walk 5 minutes up Jenkin Rd.

· pedestrian access at the top of Vauxhall Rd and from Newman Rd opposite Newman Drive.
