April 5th was a day of dust, weeds, litter, brushes and shovels, sacks and litter-pickers. It was a day of good humour and laughter, along with a great deal of hard work.

It was Wensley Spring Clean. A few tenants worked alongside Sheffield Homes Officers and made a big difference on Wensley. Children and staff from Owler Brook School came to help, accompanied by PCSOs, who were with us all through the day.

Mrs Own, one of Wensley’s tenants, kept us supplied with hot and cold drinks in the Police display bus, while Mr & Mrs Sheldon prepared a lovely lunch, provided by the TARA.

We also had a Bring Out Your Rubbish day, so tenants were able to get rid of tons of unwanted items, along with numerous bags of litter. By the end, Wensley was in a pristine condition. Thanks to all who helped to make the day such a success.
