Job: Project Participation Coordinator

The Children and Young People’s Empowerment Project (Chilypep) is a registered charity that has worked with Children and Young People across Sheffield for over 10 years. The purpose of our work is to support children and young people to be actively involved in decision-making processes which affect their lives.

Chilypep is currently recruiting for maternity leave cover (9 months) for the following post:

Right Here Project Participation Coordinator: Ref CHILYPEP/RHPPC

  • 18.5 hours per week

  • Salary NJC Scale SO1: £24,646 pro rata

  • Closing date: Monday 22nd August 2011 at 12.00pm

Interviews to be held Monday 5th September 2011

The post involves coordinating young people’s participation within the Right Here Project which focuses on young people aged 16-25 and their emotional well-being in NE Sheffield. The Coordinator will take lead responsibility to deliver the participation outcomes for the project.

Funding for this maternity leave cover is available for 9 months from 1st October until 30th June 2012. There is the possibility of extension to 12 months if current post holder takes extended maternity leave.

The post-holder will be required to undergo a Criminal Records Bureau (CRB) Check.
