Vacancy: Volunteer and Office Coordinator

South Yorkshire Refugee Law and Justice is a new organisation which is engaged in researching conditions in countries of origin to support people seeking asylum in the UK to provide objective evidence of their claim.

They have a vacancy for a Volunteer and Office Coordinator to support the recruitment and participation of volunteers and development and operation of office systems

  • 8 hours pw

  • £19,621 pa pro rata

  • Closing date: Wednesday August 31st 2011 5pm

The person appointed will be required to work at least part of Fridays on a regular basis, and will

  • Understand and be sympathetic to the needs of asylum seekers

  • Be experienced in recruiting and working with volunteers

  • Be able to work independently in a challenging environment

  • Be able to manage their work within the hours available
