St Catherine's headteacher Fiona Rigby said: “We are delighted with our new facilities at St Catherine’s. We were very well supported through the entire design and build process by the diocese, the local authority and the builders, Kier.” She added:

“The community which lost its community centre as part of the new-build process has now gained a fantastic new facility which is bigger and better equipped.

“We have really positive relationships with all of the users and work together to manage the facility. The purpose-built provision is amazing; staff and children love it.”

The Crescent Community Centre is a community facility run by a management group made up of users and representatives from the school.
