Job: Community Learning Worker

PARKWOOD HIGH SCHOOL

Salary: £18,907 – 20,736 (pro rata & pay award pending) – Scale 5 points 22 to 25

37 hours for 39 weeks

The post will be based at Pye Bank CE Primary School, Andover Street Sheffield S3 9EF.

We are seeking to appoint a Community Learning Worker to work in Burngreave within the Parkwood Family of Schools. The successful candidate will be part of our Community Team developing learning opportunities for the community and raising the level of attainment and achievement of adults and children throughout the Family of Schools but specifically in Burngreave and based at Pye Bank School. The successful candidate will work with school staff, parents, young people and the community, to develop and deliver a programme of activities to meet identified needs. The team of three workers will be led by the Community Learning Co-ordinator but be responsible through their schools to the Community Learning Forum based at Parkwood High School.

The successful candidate will be required to complete a Criminal Records Disclosure Form in line with Section 115 of the Police Act 1997.
