Supporting Burngreave children and their families – to ensure better attainment in school.

You will join a team of officers who will work with the team Co-ordinator to deliver activity to a targeted group of children to ensure those children achieve their potential at school. The team will work on a casework basis using the city’s Integrated Practice arrangements for multi-agency casework.

Whilst being based in school, the officers will also undertake home visits, liaison with non-school organisations and work as part of the wider Multi-Agency Support Team for the Service District. The Officer posts and the Co-ordinator role which forms the Family Advocacy Team is a major component of the ‘Advancing Together’ Programme which is partly funded by Burngreave New Deal for Communities.

We particularly welcome applications from ethnic minority communities as they are under represented in this area of work: Section 38(1)b of the Race Relations Act 1976 applies.
