Sorby House Caretaker/Cleaner

To provide an efficient and effective caretaking service, by maintaining the quality of the facilities and contributing to the effective use of the Sorby House building.

  • Salary: £15,100 – £17,100 per annum (37 hours – flexibility to work out of normal office hours)

  • 3 year fixed term

The NE Group in partnership with Burngreave New Deal for Communities are seeking high calibre committed individuals to work at Sorby House, a flagship building in the heart of Burngreave close to Sheffield City Centre. Sorby House has undergone a £4.5 million refurbishment to provide first class contemporary mixed use office space and will be the catalyst in creating a vibrant, dynamic business community in the area stimulating new business start ups and jobs and providing opportunities for the local community to engage in social and economic regeneration. Applications from residents of the Burngreave New Deal for Communities area are particularly welcome.

The successful candidate will need to have:

  • An awareness of Health and Safety issues

  • The ability to work on their own with minimum supervision

  • Good interpersonal skills with people of all levels
