Now in year 7 of the programme and recently rated as “excellent” we are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic person to fill the vacancy below. To help us raise skills and improve opportunities to learning within the area we have restored Vestry Hall, a Grade 2 listed building in the heart of the area that opened as a Community Learning & Activities Centre in September 2007.

Administrator/Receptionist

  • Salary £14,053 – £16,096

Interview date – Friday 21 December

This is an exciting time for this project as it is now in its implementation stage as the Learning & Activities Centre opened to the public at the beginning of September 2007. We are now looking to recruit an enthusiastic administrator to cover the opening hours of the building as required.

The duties will include:

  • Reception of visitors

  • Dealing with the public in person and on the telephone

  • Producing literature for mail outs

  • Administering room bookings

  • Using information systems to monitor outcomes

  • Working as part of a team

As the building will be open throughout the day, into the evening and occasionally for special occasions at weekends there will be a requirement for the successful applicant to have a very flexible approach to their hours of work.
