The Rock Christian Centre to host Hope 2008

The Rock Christian Centre, on Carlisle Street, is to form Sheffield's contribution to Hope 2008. This is a national event to bring hope to cities and communities nationwide in the coming year.

Events take place across the country to celebrate, with a designated Church in each city forming the hub for that city. In taking on that role for Sheffield, The Rock will provide a central location for other Churches from across the city to take part at different times.

Hope 2008 involves continuous prayer taking place 24 hours a day running through from New Year's Eve to January 7th. People will be praying at the Centre in shifts, to enable the venue to remain open constantly whilst prayer takes place, and all are welcome to attend for as much or as little time as they wish.

The launch of this event will take place on December 31st at 8pm, with participants invited to bring food to share.

To register intent to join in with the event, or for further information, see http://www.sheffieldhope08.co.uk
