Carwood litter pick

Litter pickers assemble
Litter pickers assemble

Story:Michelle Cook

Local people spent a sunny morning litter picking on the Carwood Estate on Saturday 15th August.

I would like to thank the St Peter’s Scouts and Cubs, local Councillor Ibrar Hussain and staff from Amey for all their help. I am planning a series of litter picks and possibly a gardening session on the estate including bulb planting by the Scouts.

People want to get involved in their community so I am hoping to restart some of the activities I have organised and people have enjoyed in the past. Everyone is welcome to be involved, both those living on Carwood and beyond.
