Job Club employment adviser wanted

SOAR an award winning, community led regeneration partnership working in 6 neighbourhoods in the North East of Sheffield has a vacancy for:

a Job Club Employment Advisor

Full time (37 hours) (Mon – Fri. but some evenings and weekend hours may be required)

Salary: Scale 2/3 point 18-19 £17,161 to 18,453 Dependant on experience and qualifications

8% pension contribution

Temp/perm Initial 11 month Contract. (Contract subject to securing funding) 25 days annual leave entitlement pro rata

You must have experience of providing direct employment advice to customers preferably within an employment programme.

Your role as Job Club Employment Advisor will be to support and help a range of people referred to our different provision, including working with people aged 18yrs – 24yrs and those in receipt of ESA/JSA from a variety of sources.in securing sustained employment.

You will assist in determining realistic employment goals and identify their barriers to work. You will be pro active in approaching potential employers to secure work opportunities for customers.

Working across North East Sheffield to deliver Job Clubs on an outreach basis.
