St Catherine’s book about the Romans

Romans book

Story by Saleema Imam Photography by Osama Maghder Montifort

St Catherine’s Y3 pupils have produced a book about their history studies on the Romans.

Recently launched at Waterstones, the A4 soft-back book is an informative and enjoyable read with many illustrations by the children.

Most of the book is in the children’s own handwriting but four Y6 pupils helped to put much of the information onto the computer.

Roman soldiers, clothing, toilets (of course!), gladiators, Maximus, slaves, emperors, Julius Caesar: it’s all there in full colour – with a quiz to finish off.

The book is available from St Catherine’s School, Firshill Crescent, at £6 a copy.
