Tour de France comes to Parkwood Springs

On Sunday July 6th the Tour de France route goes down Shirecliffe Road past the main entrance and the Spirit of Parkwood car park. There will be three things going on there, as well as the chance to see the procession and race from a good viewing point.

The University of Sheffield is having a special display on the top football fields near the mobile phone mast, from the Thursday before (July 3rd) to the Tour de France day itself.

Russells Bicycle Shed will have bikes to try out, whether just on the level part of the site or on the mountain bike trail from 10am to 5pm on the Sunday. You'll be asked for a donation of a Fiver towards the maintenance of the bike trail, and you'll need some ID.

Friends of Parkwood Springs Group will have cups of tea and coffee and cakes for sale, and a display about the site. Thanks to the Council there will also be toilets on the car park.
