JOB: Supported Housing Officer

Pitsmoor Youth Housing Trust (PYHT) have a vacancy for a full-time Supported Housing Officer.

  • 37 hours per week

  • Salary: £20,140 per annum

  • permanent position

If you have the experience, skills and knowledge to engage, motivate and empower homeless young people and can support them to make changes to their lives then Pitsmoor Youth Housing Trust would like to hear from you.

PYHT is a well-established Charity in Sheffield. By providing accommodation and targeted support we aim to improve the life chances for homeless young people.

As a Supported Housing Officer you will work closely with young homeless and excluded young people ensuring that they have tailored support packages, access to resources and other services to meet their personal development, social and learning needs. You will also provide practical support and independent living skills to enable young people to be able to make the transition to their own home.

Experience of working with young people, or a similar client group, with complex and diverse needs, from a variety of backgrounds is essential.

The post is subject to an enhanced DBS check.

The post requires working outside of normal office hours and you must be able to travel around the Sheffield area.

Possession of a full, clean UK driving licence and access to a vehicle is desirable.
