JOB: Housing Officer

Pitsmoor Youth Housing Trust (PYHT) have a vacancy for a part-time Housing Officer.

  • 24 hours per week

  • Salary: £20,140 per annum full time (pro rata for part time)

  • permanent position

PYHT is a well-established Charity in Sheffield. By providing accommodation and targeted support we aim to improve the life chances for homeless young people.

PYHT are looking for someone to join our organisation and contribute significantly to the effective and efficient management of our accommodation and to our lifeskills support to young people.

Do you have skills and experience in social housing? Are you familiar with occupancy agreements, lettings, rent accounts, dealing with void properties, and working with tenants and neighbourhoods?

Can you work co-operatively and sensitively with a range of colleagues, service users, neighbours, partners and stakeholders?

Do you have high standards and take pride in the quality of your work?

You will need to prioritise, plan and manage your day to day work load to meet targets and deadlines.

You could be just the person that we are looking for to undertake a range of housing management duties throughout Sheffield and join our team dedicated to supporting vulnerable young people to have a better future.

Experience of working in a similar situation will be essential.

You must be in possession of a full, clean UK driving licence and have access to a vehicle.

The post is subject to an enhanced DBS check.

Closing date for applications will be 12noon on Monday 18th November 2013
