More new homes for Shirecliffe and Fir Vale

The new “Sheffield Housing Company” is holding an open day for residents to hear about the new housing to be built in Shirecliffe and Fir Vale.

Sheffield Housing Company is a partnership of Sheffield City Council, Great Places Housing Association and Keepmoat Ltd. The plan is to build 2,300 new homes in Sheffield over 15 years, 10% of which are expected to be affordable homes to rent.

47 new houses are planned for Shirecliffe, with building work due to start in 2013. The new houses at Fir Vale are due for a later phase.

The drop-in session at Shirecliffe Community Centre will take place on Tuesday 11th October between 12 and 5pm.
