Parents and children enjoyed a summer Carnival at WATOTO pre-school in August.

Parents and carers volunteered on the day to help the event run smoothly. With fantastic food, bric-a-brac stalls, and a children’s parade, there was something for everyone to enjoy.

Mohammed Iqbal MBE opened the event recognising the positive work that the centre continues to do. He praised the quality of the childcare on offer, which allows parents to return to work, and expressed how important it was for grass roots organisations, like the Black Women’s Resource Centre, to provide this service.

WATOTO pre-school is open Monday to Friday, for under 5s, 8am-6pm. Call 275 1817 for more information.
