Job: Furnival Caretaker

  • 17.5 hours p.w. (fixed term to 31st July 2009)

  • Salary starting at £7,099 (£14,197 pro rata)

As the Furnival Caretaker, you will be responsible for maintaining a high level of health and safety, and ensuring that the building is in a good state of repair, and a welcoming place for the community.

You will be involved in communicating with staff, users, and suppliers, performing regular checks, taking room bookings, and minor repair and maintenance work.

The Furnival

  • The Furnival is a community centre based in Burngreave. We run the Cellar Space for young people at risk of exclusion from mainstream education, a range of health and wellbeing activities, and hire out rooms to local groups and individuals.

  • We aim to be a welcoming place, a safe and trusted part of the community, and somewhere that responds to the needs of those around us, especially those most disadvantaged in today’s society.
