A Healthier Burngreave: Supporting people to improve their health

Sheffield Primary Care Trust is recruiting a Community Development & Health Worker on a 6 month fixed term basis to support the a health team being established in the Burngreave area of Sheffield.

Based in a shop front in the middle of this vibrant and diverse community you will work with other projects and health services to help local people:

  • Better manage health problems

  • Improve access to health and health promotion

  • Develop skills on health issues

  • Ensure a healthy start to life with healthy eating

  • Reduce smoking and increase physical activity

The work will make best use of Burngreave’s greatest assets, its people, services and local resources to tackle inequalities in health.
