Vacancy for Job Club Employment Advisor

SOAR is an award winning, community led regeneration partnership working in six neighbourhoods in the north of Sheffield.

SOAR now has vacancies for a Job Club Employment Advisor

Two Full time posts (37 hours) (Mon – Fri some evenings and weekend hours may be required)

Salary: Scale 2/3 point 18-19. £17,161 to 18,453 dependent on experience and qualifications

8% pension contribution

Temp/perm Initial 11month Contract. (Contract subject to securing funding) 25 days annual leave entitlement pro rata

You must have experience of providing direct employment advice to customers preferably within an employment programme. Your role as Job Club Employment Advisor will be to identify employment opportunities for the range of people referred to our different provision including working with people aged 18yrs – 24yrs and those in receipt of ESA/JSA from a variety of sources and support them into sustained employment.

You will help determine realistic employment goals and identify their barriers to work. You will be pro active in approaching potential employers to secure work opportunities for customers and liaise with customers and employers to ensure sustained employment. Working across North East Sheffield to deliver Job Clubs on an outreach basis.
