Harry Harpham MP has died

It is with sadness that the Messenger reports the death of our local MP, Harry Harpham, yesterday, 4th February 2016.

Harry was first elected to represent the Sheffield Brightside and Hillsborough constituency in the general Election last year and was diagnosed with cancer last summer. He was a former coal miner and had been deputy leader of Sheffield City Council before becoming MP. Our condolences go to his wife, family, friends and colleagues.
