Forest Garden workday

The Forest Garden in January
The Forest Garden in January

The next multi-faith Forest Garden day at Parkwood Springs is on Saturday 10th August, 11am-2pm.

The Forest Garden is on Parkwood Springs and access is easiest from Cookswood Road.

The workday is an informal gathering of volunteers and anyone is welcome. A series of workdays, on the second Saturday of each month, have seen a changing rota of volunteers so there are always old faces and new ones.

This month, the work will include tackling the weeds that have shot up and tending to the fruit. For those who have not visited before, the community forester will offer a guided tour to explain what is growing and how a forest garden works.

Bring food and drink for your lunch, sturdy footwear and clothes suitable for gardening and in case it rains.
