Help wanted after fire at recycling plant

Fire at Reclaim
Fire at Reclaim

Reclaim is a Charity in Attercliffe that provides work and support for adults with learning disabilities within the recycling industry.

On Sunday 14th July a huge fire destroyed the majority of their site including The Central Depot (an activity center), which means currently they are unable to accommodate and support the adults that utilise the Charity. This has had a devastating effect on both the dedicated staff and their trainees some of whom have worked there for over 15 years.

They want to rebuild the site so that they will be able are able to provide the support that the trainees rely on so much.

They are looking for local businesses and skilled workers to help get the plant up and running again as soon as possible and need the help of skilled workers such as plasterers, painters and decorators, joiners etc. that are willing to give some time to help create a warm and friendly space so that our trainees have somewhere to go.

They would be grateful for any donation and below is a list of materials needed so that they can create a new supportive environment for the trainees:

Over the next few weeks it will be a busy time trying to get the site demolished, cleared and safe. Any tradespeople with or without machinery to help with the demolition of the remaining building, removal of rubble, skips and disposable avenues would be greatly appreciated. We still need to try and operate our services to help generate income but sadly all our vehicles got destroyed in the fire so any hire companies/van dealers that could lend us a van (free of charge) for us to carry out this service would also help us.
