In November 2010 the Hindu Samaj at Buckenham Street hosted Diwali celebrations, to mark the Festival of Lights and the Hindu New Year. Around 200 people from across the community came to enjoy the 2 day long celebrations, which included a meal, the handing out of sweets, and dance performances. Plans are now being made for March 2011, when Holi, the Festival of Colours, will be celebrated.
