Man stabbed on Spital Hill

Spital Hill was closed to traffic for several hours on Wednesday 4th March, following an argument between two men that resulted in a stabbing.

One man in his 40s was injured and treated in hospital, but the wound was not life threatening. The police do not think the attack was gang related.

It's believed the man was injured near Spital Street around 3.30pm, he then made his way to the help point outside the four seasons café, and an ambulance was called.

Buses and traffic were diverted down Carlisle Street while forensic information was gathered.
