Job: Trainee Advice Worker for Somali community

Pitsmoor Citizens Advice Bureau (CAB) has a vacancy for a person who will undergo training to become an advice worker for the Somali community.

We are looking for someone with good writing and oral communication skills in English and good oral skills in Somali (writing skills also advantageous). They will also have good learning skills and a commitment to helping the Somali community. An understanding of the work of advice centres would be highly advantageous.

We intend to offer the successful applicant a part time advice post after 9 months, subject to demonstrating a sufficient ability in advice work.

  • 18 hours per week

  • £9,000 per year (actual rate)

  • closing date: 20th July 2009 at 9am

  • interview date: 23rd july 2009
