Sheffield Futures has a vacancy for a:

Temporary, Full-time Youth Worker

The post is 37 hours per week and runs until May 2010 (Level 2a)

£17,625 to £19,841 (qualified) £15,337 to £17,053 (unqualified)

Sheffield Futures is an exciting and innovative charity which provides a wide range of services to people of all ages. It is one of the largest providers of Connexions services in the country and has a national reputation for quality of service delivery.

We are looking for someone to join the StreetworX Team delivering Detached and Project Work within the Burngreave New Deal Area. The role involves developing, planning and delivering provision for young people 13 – 19 yrs in order to meet their personal and social development needs. You must have experience of face-to-face work with young people along with good communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work in a multi cultural setting. Other duties include partnership working to provide additional support to targeted young people in order to ensure improved outcomes for them and the wider community. The successful candidate must hold an NVQ 3 in Youth Work or equivalent qualification or be committed to completing this.
