Fundraising books and tapes sale

Saturday 19th January 2008 10.45am — 2.15pm

A fundraising second hand books and tapes sale will take place at the New Roots Ashram Project cafe on Burngreave Road/Hallcarr Street, Burngreave, Sheffield S3.

The purpose of the event is to raise much needed funds for the Sunrise and Hope(SRH) Community Co-operative project, aiming to create 6 to 12 well paid part or full time jobs in semi – skilled and artistic, creative craft work in the next 12 to 14 months.

Around 300 books will be for sale at reasonable prices, including:

  • An assortment of hardback/paperback books/novels, first editions

  • Gardening, geography,

travel, transport, education, politics, economy, sports and comedy books

  • Novelty and childrens/Ladybird books

A small amount of records, video and cassette tapes will be on sale too.

Wholesome organic and fair trade snacks and drinks will be available from 11am.
