Green City Action's environment event in Abbeyfield Park. Activities this year include plant stalls and help with hanging baskets, birds of prey exhibition, animals from Heeley City Farm, Sports and Games for children, tree trail and treasure hunt.

Sheffield Law Centre and other advice agencies in Sheffield are taking part in the Week of Action called by the Access to Justice Alliance, with a demonstration against Legal Aid cuts on Monday 21 May 2007 outside the Combined Court Centre.

Campaigners calling for more social rented housing in the Burngreave area have received a boost by a promise that under Brown the rules that Thatcher brought in which prevented council's from building any new Council houses will at last be ‘relaxed’.

On 24th April, over 100 community elders came to voice their concerns at a BME consultation day organised by the Yemeni Pakistan Community Associations.

Proposed artworks for the Vestry Hall entrance and foyer are on display in Burngreave library until 11th May 2007.

Burngreave residents joined a demonstration against the government proposal to end free English courses for speakers of other languages.

Pitsmoor Surgery's distinctive pointed roof has been a landmark on Burngreave Road for nearly twenty years. However, major extension work has enabled it to provide more services to Burngreave residents.
