Burngreave Opportunities links with Sheffield Museums and Galleries

Burngreave Opportunities (BOPPs) have forged close links with Sheffield Museums and Galleries (SM&G) in the production of the Yemen Exhibition funded by BNDfC.

Five BOPPs clients were put forward for the museum’s volunteer programme to gain experience working as Visitor Assistants at the museum. BOPPs have also been in discussions with SM&G about the possibility of the volunteers being employed by SM&G after the exhibition has finished.

The second phase of the volunteer programme began at the end of November. It is hoped this new partnership will go from strength to strength with volunteers coming forward on a regular basis.

If you would like to know more about this or any other job or training opportunities contact Burngreave Opportunities on 0114 275 5106.
