FREE training on Newsletter production

The Burngreave Messenger in partnership with New Start magazine and the Fir Vale Forum are to offer free training to residents of Burngreave and Fir Vale on how to produce newsletters. Training will involve:

• News writing • Interviewing • Feature writing • Sub-editing • And also include photography, design and desk top publishing

Both the Burngreave Messenger and Fir Vale News will provide opportunities to do practical tasks during the training for the newspapers, such as article writing and photography.

We will be running sessions throughout the year. Each session will be two hours and will aim to be informal and friendly. The first five sessions will be about Basic News writing. They will be on the following dates from 10am–12 noon:

13th & 20th April 4th, 11th & 18th May
