A new salon on the fringe of Burngreave is teasing fashionable residents with a tantalising range of hairstyles and cosmetics.

Marie-Henriette Hair Salon and Cosmetics has put down roots at 93 The Wicker after it became time for the business, previously next door, to get its own make-over.

Under manager Henrietta Menguele the salon now has a much larger shop floor meaning it can see to more customers and enlarge its exciting range of products.

The shop’s best-selling items are extensions, styling products and, to make your preparation for a perfect night on the town complete, even shoes and CDs of African music.

Mrs Henriette said: “What we sell most of are weave-ons made of human hair and of all colours to match the needs of my customers.”

Although specialising in Afro-European hair, people of all types are invited to come in for a treatment by the team of expert hair stylists, from a simple wash and set, to plaits, colouring and more adventurous dreadlocks.

Marie-Henriette Hair Saloon and Cosmetics is open from Monday to Friday 10.00am–7.30pm, Saturday 9.30am–8.00pm, and on Sunday by appointment only.
