Supporting local business

Story: The New Deal executive team

A lot of hard work has been going on behind the scenes by BNDfC to support the development of local businesses in the area.

Through the Supporting Business project, Saghir Ahmed, the Business and Enterprise Champion, works with residents and companies to assist in the development of new business start-ups and the expansion of existing businesses respectively.

Fifty five security grants have been given out increasing the security of premises and equipment and improving the look of the shopping area around Spital Hill.

This project has also succeeded in reviving the Burngreave Business Forum. Watch this space for a big event planned by the Forum in November.
